As we approach this Independence Day, I don’t have to tell you that our country is in a mess. Most agree that we have some difficult issues facing us as a nation.
There is one specific question that has been bugging me, however.
I often hear commentators on some of our news channels claim that if President Trump is re-elected, it would spell the end of our democracy. Yet, they never tell the specific methods by which he intends to accomplish this.
If you know, can you clarify the exact steps he plans to undertake this outcome? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
It seems to me that ending democracy in our republic would require the dismantling of both houses of Congress and the Supreme Court. Honestly, I cannot envision how a single individual could achieve that.
One truth remains
This Independence Day, and throughout the years, hopefully, we are continuing to lift up our country to God in prayer. I know many of us are and he is listening.
